I just finished installing new engine heads and completed building it out but now I am prepping the lower and middle intake manifolds. I am -trying- to do it all brand new and so I am trying to find a good replacement cold start injector switch. I am not interested in deleting it.

I came across this on amazon and wanted to get some input as to whether this was compatible or not?

If not, anyone know of a good replacement CSI switch I can get that isn't too expensive?

Very likely won't work.

CSI Switch for V6 in Fiero and others is not a simple switch or sender/sensor and not used by most other engines even in the 80's.

You can't test it w/o cooling the part to activate the switch Because thermal section only allows turn on below X°F

Even when turns on, has a "timer" function to be on only for a few seconds.
That function maybe depend on power load like thermal flashers cans for turn lights.

I don't think anyone has had new CSI switches for 20+ years because so few cars use them.

The "timer" function (well, heating element) serves to limit how long the CSI can be energized.

This is to prevent flooding the engine if the engine cranks for a long time without starting.

You might not need this feature, but you might flood the engine without it.

I wanted to keep the engine as original as possible but if there are no CSI switches available then I guess I have no choice but to delete it.

GM / AC Delco part number is 14084318
It cross references to a Standard Motor Products etc.

Bosch 0280130229 is the same item.
I got a spare from a German car at the wrecking yard some time back.

Given the fact that I can't find this part anywhere except for a single ebay item for $80 with shipping, I decided to go down to the garage and try my luck at finding my fiero's CSI switch I had put away somewhere and lo' and behold, I found it! I couldn't believe it. Now I don't need to worry about this anymore, except pray that it still works!

I searched through a number of sources yesterday to help find one. No one listed one for a Fiero, even if they had a listing for a cold start injector.

Unfortunately, because the Fiero is so old, parts manufacturers start dropping them off the "applications list" even as you stare at a picture of the correct part that IS available.
