Looking for best fit for stock Rad but with upgraded cooling for the SC 3800
Part number or Dimensions would be great. Every I look they do not seem to understand what 1988 Fiero is.

The Champion 2 and 3 row units fit well and seem to be the popular choice but radiators of all types are hard to find right now.

As of today, Amazon shows the Champion 3 row back in stock.

The two row cools better than the three row.

3 and 4 row are only for ancient brass radiators. Anything aluminum, stay away from 3-row! Go with a quality 2-row

Not really, it depends on the water pump you have. If you can slow down the flow of coolant at the radiator and speed it up on demand to match the right conditions and have full control of it regardless if the rad is 1 or 2 row then you have the upper hand. That's what a thermostat does right? But the thermostat is mechanical and depends on temperature to react. What about if you can electronically make the water pump speed mimic a thermostat on demand?

Champion themselves claim 600hp cooling with 2 row vs 450hp cooling with 3 row. The 2 row core is 0.125" thicker than the 3 row core. End tanks are same. 2 Row radiator is $10 cheaper than 3 row. Seems like a no brainer to go with the 2 row, is the general assumption that 3 is more than 2 so it must be better? Thanks in advance.

The two row Champion may cool better but I have the three row unit on my 3800SC and it works great. The engine is not making 450 HP so we are good. The question is that; the two and three row designs flow differently so I am not sure what the net effect is.
