Hi everyone,

I have a question about C&C T-top locks. Does a separate key open those locks, or is the ignition or trunk key supposed to open them? I was able to pop one lock with one of the keys, but I'm starting to wonder if that was a fluke. I can't get either key to seat in either lock now. Yes, I managed to lock the one that I opened up...

Thank you in advance!

It’s a separate key. At least it is for mine.

Thank you - I suspected that was the case. I may have found a replacement key source online. At least, I hope that it is the correct key replacement.

Mine is a separate key, too. My T-tops have never been on the car, since I have owned it. They are in storage. I live in CA and the car has always been in the garage except for sunny days which happen most of the time. It has not seen a drop of rain in years. But once I get the cracked exhaust manifold replaced, I think I will sell it.

True. And it's also a very common key.
I bought a T-top car without keys for the T-tops. I tried the key to my camper shell. Worked perfectly. Probably a lot of filing cabinet keys will work, too.
The key code may be stamped in the end of the lock cylinder. Most locksmiths should be able to recognize and duplicate it.
