AC question for 3800 swap.

I am looking to reconnect and attempt to start the AC in my car with 3800 engine swapped in by PO.

This is the AC module in the car.
The compressor is Delphi 10341812 and comes up as intended for 2004-2009 BUICK ALLURE, LACROSSE, IMPALA, GRAND PRIX.

The discharge and suction ports are different sizes and hose are being customized by Chuck in Florida.

I was told the 3800 engine is series 3.

Question:
How do I verify if the AC has the correct setup to run properly?

In addition to conversion hoses that join the compressor to the manifold connection by the firewall you will need a 10MM switch port on the high pressure hose (the smaller of the two) for the A/C pressure switch that controls the system. The pressure switch screws on to that port connection and you must have it. IIRC the hoses used are the #8 and #10 barrier hoses. The clutch is contolled by a relay and the pressure switch gets wired into the PCM the A/C request signal to the dashboard switch. This is the short explanation.

Hi Dennis- thank you so much for your response and expert insight. It helps me to start verifying some of those details.

I currently have this black module that states “AC”.
How do I verify if that module is correct and needs to be revised to send signal to the clutch and compressor?

If that module is incorrect can I buy a series 3
Module from an old car that with a 38000 series 3 motor (ie from scrap yard)?

I’m trying to figure out the PCM side of the equation.

The electronics are simple. I have no idea what that black module is as we have never used it on a swap. The AC request signal is simply hooked up to your dash switch, the pressure switch on the high side line is hooked up to the PCM and the clutch relay is wired to control the clutch. You do not need anything else. I'll try to look up the connections and post them here later on.

The cycling switch on the separator needs to be bypassed as well.

Front compartment, silver capsule on wall below windshield.
Cut the blue and green wires from the plug and connect them together.

It looks like the black box that states "AC" on the passenger side is either for cruise control and/o sub amp for Radio.

Your last picture is the "blue dingy thingy" and has nothing to do with the A/C system.

Look in the front 'trunk', on the rear wall for a large silver 'capsule' - that is the separator.
