Long story short, my passenger side tripot came apart while the motor was out and deposited its needle bearings inside the boot. I'll try putting it back together but I need a plan B in case any are missing.

Can't do an aftermarket because my outer joints are built from S10 axles.

I ordered a couple reman OEM A-Body (6000, Century, etc) passenger side axles (4 spd AT - Cardone 60-1025). Those have the same trans side spline/OD as the Fiero MT so hoping I can pull them apart and swap it onto my passenger side axle.

Anyone have any known good interchanges?

Anyone near Portland or Seattle have a passenger side Fiero MT axle they want to sell?

Please explain. It sounds like you are using a Fiero axle that has the Fiero inner tripot with an outer S-10 tripod. If that is the case the MT passenger side axles still seem to be available. Try Rock Auto for a Cardone rebuilt unit as I have doubts that the new Chinese imports are built exactly like the GM units

Exactly what I'm doing. Fiero inner, S10 outer.

RockAuto lists a rebuild service only. I really don't think they'll take kindly to my frankenaxle.

Did anything break or are you just concerned you don't have all the needles?

Nothing broken. Drug the block over it while pulling it off the frame and tore the boot. Think all the needles are there but not 100%.

Also dumped a bunch of oil on my floor. Felt like it was my first day. Lol.

Tripots are the same for the PS and DS manual Fiero axles. The Driver side axles are shorter, more common and easier to ship.

The challenge with any rebuild one is they often do not use OEM sized rollers. From their perspective as long as the two spline ends (differential and wheel bearing) and overall length is right, they have a rebuild axle for the application. Trying to swap tripot internal rollers between OEM and Rebuilt/remanufactured is very hit and miss.

You might want to call up The Fiero Factory and have them cut down a DS manual axle/tripot end, put it in a meduim flat rate box and send it to you.

Thanks for the tip. I didn't realize The Fiero Factory was still around.

My plan was to pull the entire joint over from whatever rebuild I get. I figure as long as the shaft is OEM if they vary roller sizes it won't matter much. OD and splines on the shaft don't change.

Also found a line on one locally. I think I may set myself up with a couple or 3 so I'm not in this situation again. The A-body remans I ordered are direct plug ins for my driver side so they're useful to me even if they're different.

The assumption that rebuilds use oem shafts is a bad one. Some may, but many do not.
