Hi guys, replacing brake hoses, the new ones I got are different, the fitting is like a funnel, the old hose has a flat fitting.

So do i have the wrong hose or was there a design change? Will they work on the stock metal brake lines?

First time I’m doing this so I’m not sure what’s going on. Help...

Posting what you purchased manufacturer and part number and from where would be helpful.

Ok, learning more, I now Believe I have ISO bubble male ends,

Edit, looked in the service manual and it says double flair, I’m confused, its hard to tell what they look like , anyone know what the 86 has?

I have a few sets of replacements from Centric.

They all look like this

I have pulled probably 4 sets of brake lines in the last 6 months and can't say I've actually looked in the holes on the old ones.

Just want to add, the old part is not as flat as I first thought, I think I have been fooled by an optical illusion..
