How difficult is it to split the case to th th125 trans? I just want to take the side cover off that holds the chain. Will the trans fall apart? I have not trans experience and cant find any threads on the topic.

Split the case???? If its just the side cover that you wish to remove you can take off the bolts and nothing will pop out. If you are looking to change the FDR, the valve body, Channel plate, pump and a number of other things must first be removed. The drive gears and chain are then replaced. If you decide to do this purchase the trans repair manual and work very carefully.

Yes I just plan to take off the side cover that houses the chain on the side. The part that the valve body pan connects to.

Thank you.
