I purchased a set of the stainless steel lines for my 84 SE and after about 6 hours of fighting rusty fittings I have the new ones mostly in place, however I ran into an issue. On the front left line it is the smaller thread size (maybe 3/16"?) however the female end on the 5-way brass fitting that's immediately off the brake master cylinder is larger (maybe 1/4"?). On the this end there is some adapter from the smaller thread size to the larger thread size, however I think the threads on the adapter on the 3/16" size are messed up since the new fitting from the front left line isn't threading in correctly. The adapter itself seems to be either aluminum or zinc if it helps at all.

My question is if this is something factory or if anyone else has run into this, and if something like those two links may work.

Looks like Is part of the Combination Valve in my Cave. Is "nut" for balance spool.
Most 84 uses different one but not sure if that part is different then other versions.

If wreck have to get whole combi valve for 84 Fiero and likely Very Hard to impossible even from GM.

Yes you're absolutely right that's what it's part of. Maybe I can either make it work or find one on eBay.

Unless your 84 is an Indy, the Brake Combination Valve for your car is P/N 10026021.

86-87 V6 cars (VIN 9) used this valve as well.

The other valve used on pre-- 88 Fieros is P/N 10036563.

I have no info as to the differences between the two valves.

The valve on your car may have a P/N stamped on it somewhere.

I couldn't get the smaller lines going to the master cylinder to seal properly, so I ended up reusing the old ones, which were fine. The rest of the lines fit and worked perfectly. This was on an early production 84 SE, car 24,421

"Nut" above gets 1 of 2 front hard lines to the combi valve. Most in right line but not sure on 84.
