I'd like to make my power windows in my '88 Formula hot even when the key is off. Is there a quick and easy way to do this?

I believe it's the pink wire in the back of the fuse block. I was hoping there was a convenient place to plug that into an always hot slot.

I made mine hot years ago but forgot what method I used. Whatever you do make sure you have a fuse or circuit breaker in the line.

Might as well add a rain sensor while you're at it.

I added aftermarket pws to my Formula. These were NOT with a factory harness. I just found an always hot 30 amp slot in the fuse block and tapped it off there. I since replaced the cheap motors with factory motors, but kept the aftermarket harness.

I believe that Rodney Dickman sells a kit to provide full time powered windows. Check out his site and confirm this if you want a functional product that is ready to go.

Agreed.

I saw a vehicle at a Car Show catch fire when his "always hot" wiring in the door shorted out.

Luckily the hood was up and they disconnected the battery REALLY fast!

There's that...
PW have 30a Breaker in fuse box. Even still the motor(s) or wiring can burn and not trip any breaker.

Main reason PW need the I-key is so kids etc can't run PW when parked. Even then kids etc have been hurt or killed by PW.
Many cars have OE remote or auto up PW have "jam" monitoring to prevent this. (Same reason Garage Door Openers has jam stops, light beam stops, etc.)
Others w/o that should get best Insurance. Even then Insurance may not pay enough or void the policy when sued after you mod the PW wiring to always hot, auto up, or remote up.
