Hi,

my father in law has a small radio repair shop in Czech Republic (Europe). One of his customers brought him DELCO 16040862 for repair. According to Google it was used in 88 Fiero.

He was able to repair some things, but there is still issue with tuner and display and he is not able to do that without wiring schematics.

Is there anybody who would have such schematics for this or similar radio type and would be willing to send me pdf of this?

I already tried GM and AC Delco on facebook, they do not have this (but their customer service is very kind). I also tried several service manuals website (SAMs etc.) but without any luck. There are some service manuals (not for this particular part number) on ebay, but without delivery outside US.

On one forum I found also these details:
FCC ID ABO 9GNFM20EV
SERVICE MANUAL NO. 2H
PACKAGE NO. 998632 MV86
PART NO. 16040862

Thanks for your help.

Jakub

If that doesn't work, please let me know. (Message me if I don't answer the thread.)
I have a handful of Delco radio manuals, including several of the Fiero radios. I can scan and email what I have.

Edit - I searched the part number, and realized that this is the most basic cassette player that was available.
I don't think I have manuals for that particular radio, but I will still have a look.

(For what it's worth, I fixed one of the "nicer" Delco radios that had tuner issues. The display would stay on one thing, but the frequency would "scan" up through the band.
It was caused by a poor solder connection on the "VCO steering line". The quick and dirty fix for Delco radios is to re-flow every solder connection in sight. It's a bit time consuming, but I have found great success doing this.)
