I have a couple of questions regarding the rear bumper cover.
Will a rear bumper cover from an 88 GT fit on an 88 coupe?
Also, has anyone had any luck with any certain repair / fillers for the plastic belt moulding that is made onto the rear bumper cover ?
I have a cover but the belt moulding is really damaged as in pitting etc, from sun exposure.
I will more than likely have to paint it but I figure there must be some sort of epoxy, etc filler that can
smooth out the damage in it.
Thanks

The bumper covers are made of an epoxy material called RIM, sometimes called RRIM. (re-enforced reaction injection molding). There are body fillers made for RIM, available at your local auto paint store.

As for the fit question...you can physically attach the bumper cover, but sometimes it looks stupid because it does not match the lines on the rest of the car.

Yeah, the wheel well liners won't even be close to matching up to the different body lines at the sides of the rear bumper cover.

When you get the bumper cover, grab the wheel well liners, too. There's a small filler tab stapled to the liner that covers the wider area of the aero trim at the bottom. Aero trim on on the rear of a base coupe does make it look a little Butt Heavy to me. Envisioning what Patrick said, the fastback has a little wider hips, so the fender well liners may still leave a gap around the edges.

...although the liners that match the rear bumper cover will then not match the body lines to the front of the wheel wells.

Uh, yes they will...the lower panels by the door are the same (except for the mounting holes for the cladding on the GT.

I don't quite follow what you're stating. The issue isn't the "lower panels".

Without having to go out in the dark and rain to look , if I recall correctly... The wheel well liners on aero-trimmed Fieros fit into the backs of the aero (GT) rocker panels. On non-aero Fieros, the wheel well liner design is a little different as the rockers are different/smaller.

It is possible I'm thinking of the way the front wheel well liners fit.

I will be using Aero ground effects that I`m gping to customize.
In the front I`m going to use one of the Munson bumper covers that Jimmy used to sell.
