Good morning

Does anyone know what causes a very loud "pop" sound when turning on the cabin ventillation system from OFF position. Sounds like a motor or something is binding and struggling to be released It is a very loud pop sound--

Any solutions to this?
thanks

It may be the mixer door sticking. One of my cars did that. Things worked but you could hear the motor whirring then a pop. It didn't do it when adjusting temperature, but just when changing modes.

Thanks I believe it is that small motor on the door as well- just don't know what to do about it or how to resolve. It is such a loud pop that I am certain it will break sooner or later

one or both mode doors likely have problems and motor can die soon or door(s) can break down.

thanks for the replies

Does anyone know if the actuators are available to purchase as replacments? I can't seem to find them online...

Mine are binding (either the door itself or the actuator is making the popping sound), so I would prefer to replace if possible

only hope to find used units.

but replacing motors doesn't help you when doors are the problem and only "binding" or "popping" on "off" then likely is door(s).
