The firewall area behind the driver's seat seems relatively empty on a stock Fiero... hence I decided to install some of my water injection hardware there.
1. Filter
2. Pressure sensor
3. Pressure regulator
4. Solenoid valve

The outlet of the solenoid valve is placed so that a short loop of hose can connect the valve to the intake manifold. The hose follows a curve, so that when the engine rocks back and forth, no undue tension is applied to the hose.
I'm planning on routing the pressure and return lines on the "shelf" that appears at the bottom of the firewall.
I'm using an electric pressure sensor, but a mechanical gauge in that location should be readable as well.
The best solution for your case depends on where it would be convenient for the fuel to arrive to your engine.
If you gave more info (such as pics) regarding your swap, it would be easier to give intelligent suggestions.
For example, if using fuel injection, you should regulate the pressure as close as possible to the point of use, i.e. the injector(s).
If going carburetor, the fuel pressure isn't as important.
