Anyone rembr if the acquisition file for our 86-88 V6 was for set for $24A.adx and if so is that the only file needed to load up and start scanning-- i saw a tutorial online where someone had loaded 3 files not sure why but it was a Bin ; XDF ; and ADX but he was working off a CD - Before registering Id like to get the free software to at least talk to my laptop and be able to see live data knowing all works well..

3 files are required, XDF and ADX address the data arrangement and layout of the info held in the .bin file. Load both the XDF and ADX files in TunerPro for the Fiero and then open the file. It's been many years since I dealt with Fiero specific files but I believe $24A is for the 1985 V6 only which was also the file version capable of boost management.

Only the .adx file is needed for scanning.

The bin file is the actual data on the disk. The .adx file defines how the data is arranged on the chip. Neither are needed unless you plan on burning chips.

The .adx file is the same for $24 and $24a. Only the .xdf file differs between the two. And the .bin file is different for every different version of chip. The three or four letters on the chip designate the version of the chip. There will be a different version of the chip

I had not had the chance to run it again instead been using my old OBD1 that does a similar job with data streaming but lacks some readouts - Appreciate the help and follow up -----
