Has anyone found a good replacement seal? I searched and did not come up with much. I know the fiero store has one but folks have said that it is not a good piece. I have also read someone cutting the rubber out of the original seal and replacing the o-rings. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Just a follow up to what I did. Instead of purchasing a $37 part from the Fiero Store I matched the rubber on the old seal to new rubber 0-rings. I just used o-rings in place of the old seal and bolted it down. I have run the car to operating temp multiple times and driven it around the block a few times with no leaks. Will this work long term, we shall see. I just wanted to post up my experiences thus far.

As long as the O rings were Viton not Buna-N. The black Buna-N O rings are not as good under pressure.

I used Viton rings. Good point though. I am just suprised the lack of talk about this, no one makes this seal except the Fiero Store. When I took mine apart the seal was all cracked up. I can only imagine how many owners are driving around with a potential gas leak.

IMO, the fuel block seals on the Fiero were not designed for today's E10 gasoline's but regardless they are 30+ years old. I have removed a few of those fuel blocks and the seals were nearly disintegrated. Your technique is the low budget approach but if it works all the better. Word to the wise X 2 to Fiero owners; if you own a V6 Fiero and wish to avoid a fire, replace that fuel block seal now.

The only complaint we are aware of was from someone who was unhappy with the appearance of the part. If memory serves, there was a little residual rubber on the aluminum, which is common with this kind of manufacturing. We have not received any complaints about the fit or function of the part. While there are likely other options, ours is the easiest, fastest, and closest to OEM.

I appreciate the feedback for that. I have bought plenty of parts from you guys over the last couple years and I do not have any complaints. However, I wanted to try this solution out to see if it works.
Just wanted to bring this back up and say that after driving the car for over 4k miles last month my o-ring solution to the fuel block seal is working as intended.
I am just suprised the lack of talk about this, ...
I think, at least initially, maybe some people didn't understand the question. "Fuel rail? Touching the block?" They weren't thinking of the block where the lines connect. At least I wasn't until I saw the diagram. And then I was like... DOH!
LOL, its all good Raydar. Just as a reference this is the link to the Fiero Store piece V6 Fuel Rail To Block Seal
Maybe if I would have worded it fuel rail to block it might have made more sense. Anyways, all I did was match up the o-rings to the metal piece and tightened it all down. Like I said no issues to this point. Not downing the Fiero Stores piece by any means. To each their own.
