Trying to find out where the issue is with my '84. When I turn off my wipers they'll stop on the windshield. When I turn them back on, they start up where they left off. Is this the motor?

84 w/ or w/o delay/pulse feature?
Delay board for 84 is under the dash not on the motor like later years.

all Motors have a switch to "park" the wiper low on windshield. If that switch is "dead" then wipers can park anywhere.
If have Delay feature the switch is often tied to the delay board so could be switch, board and/or wiring cause problems.

Thanks Orge

It does not have the delay feature. What do you mean by "If that switch is "dead" then wipers can park anywhere." Am I looking for an actual switch?

switch inside the motor.

Turn main switch "off" is not off to the motor.
main switch really should be on turn "off" by you but in series w/ motor park switch.
park switch then hits a "park zone" in/on big gear and shuts off.

Either switch broken or wiring problems then wipers will park anywhere.
