Has anyone tried to plasti-dip their tail lights to hide the delamination and the fogging? My buddy did it do his new ram truck and it looks good and still shows nice and bright. It can peel right off to if you dont want it anymore. Was just curious.
I currently have plasti dip smoked tails, did it for the same reason. Turned out great!! Put 4 coats of it on and its still nice and bright at night. Do it.

Maybe stating the obvious here.... but at $5 a can for plasti dip, and as you said, it just peels right offf. You have already seen it on a friends truck, and say it looks great... why not just give it a try and see how it turns out?

i was just curious if it hid the delamination. i will try it but before i did was just curious if anyone else had tried. I have a lense that is cracked so i have to get a new one so i may try it on that just to see if it turns out
I’ve PD my tail lights to have the nightshade effect then the popo told me no go. So I peeled it off and had the delamination to deal with, I did what others do when painting over the delam part of the tail light except I used PD it worked great!
Look up NiteShade. Designed for tail lights. I did some on mine a few months ago but my moronic brain put on a coat of clear coat on it and it looked all patchy and stuff. I ended up taking it all off. I think in the spring I'll try again.
My tail lights are perfect, no delam, but I like the look of smoked out lights. I think I did a thread on here when I did it... I think like 5 coats of smoke, 1 very light coat of black, and a few of the glossifier.
