Hoping the knowledge base here can help me. I have spent a couple hours doing various Google searches for pin-out diagrams for both the 4T45E and the 4T65E transmissions and I'm not sure I am finding useful info. Basically I am trying to find the pin-out diagrams for both of these transmissions for the vehicle side harness - the connector(s) that mate to the trans that provide the link to the PCM.

I want to see these two diagrams to determine what challenges might present themselves if swapping a 4T65E in place of a 4T45E.

Thank you to anyone who can help!

There is not one universal wiring diagram for the 4t65e. It has changed over the years. So to answer this part of the question, one would need to know what year 4T65e you are looking at.

I was hoping someone could point me to a resource where I could find the connector pin-out diagrams.

But I was able to find them myself:

Here is the 4T65E connector. These transmissions use different strategies from data to operate. Don't believe that splicing wires will work. Very interested in following your progress. Good luck.

After looking at the pin outs for several different versions of the 4T45E, now I am thinking I will have to use a PCM that can control the 4T65E and have it flashed with the appropriate code for the engine (LX9). But that is several more hours of investigation to try to figure this out.

Well again remember there are different versions of the 4T65E and it's wiring. Either you need an separate transmission controller or a PCM that would have controlled the transmission you are intending to use. It is easier to reprogram the engine side of things than the transmission. That said before getting too far make sure the programmer can do that.
