My brakes were not doing too well at stopping so I intended to swap out the components. I got rebuilt brakes from rockauto since the fiero store is out of them for now and I can't wait for the turnaround time for them to rebuild mine.

The trouble is that rockauto sent me two calipers with the same parking brake lever. Would it be possible to just swap out the lever from the old caliper without messing things up? If so is there anything specific that I need to do to make sure I don't damage anything in there?

???

Are the calipers themselves different, or did you get sent two for the same side?

They are both for the driver's side it seems, but I'm basing that on the lever that is on them. . Is there anything internal that would prevent them from being swapped to the other side by changing out the lever?

If you have two of the same caliper, instead of Left and Right, you don't want to put the wrong one on there because by doing so the bleeder will be on the bottom and you'll have awfully spongy brakes, at best.

Ok thanks, I figured there was some reason for them not to be used across sides.

left side will never work on right and other way around. Piston guts are different.
Return is only option.
