Pretty sure if you use an aftermarket electric gauge, you can use existing wires. You prob have to use the sensor that comes with the gauge. Most are calibrated together. If you go to a mechanical gauge, which will look exactly the same, you dont need any wiring. You do have to change the engine sensor. Then you just run the 1/8" tubing (brass or plastic) between the two. Mechanical eliminates any kind of false readings and gives you instant real pressure reading without having to trust the electronics.

There are aftermarket gauges that can work with the stock oil pressure sender. The signal is 0-90 Ohms. (0 is zero, 90 Ohms is about 80 PSI)

I personally would not want a mechanical oil pressure gauge. But that's just me.

Yes, its just personal choice. I just think mechanical one is pretty much foolproof/ reliable. Electric oil gauge is just slightly better than an idiot lite.

I have a Bosch electronic gauge with a 2 pin connector the fiero has a 3 pin connector for its sending unit.
has anyone installed one of these gauges? it comes with its own sending unit. I can retain
my warning light with a T-connector.
