I'm looking for a recommendation for a limited slip diff for the Saab f40 6 speed transmission. They seem pretty pricey so I don't want to get it wrong.
Thanks everyone,
Daryl M

I got a Quaife off a vendor on Ebay. Cost about $1200 I think. Don't know if there is any other brand out there.

Thanks guys. I didn't know if there were other options and at that price, I will be paying 3 times the cost of the transmission I bought, so I didn't want to get it wrong. The change out seems pretty straight forward. I found a video showing it being installed, but again, I appreciat the experience of you guys on the list, so any tips or cautions on the lsd install?

I've always liked limited slip differentials but never had a traction problem with any Fiero that I have ever owned. The question I have is when is the traction problem evident and under what conditions?

I agree, my wheel spin problems have either been deliberate or the result of too much throttle in a low speed sharp turn. I believe the LSD is more of a FWD problem solver. Even under the most spirited straight line acceleration efforts, as long as the clutch wasn't dumped I didn't have wheel spin. I do have 245s on the rear so wider quality tires could be considered as a viable alternative.

and I might add that forum member Scott / Darkhorizon with his 9 second 1/4 mile turbo Fiero doesn't run one ether .
