I am looking for a fuel injector that will fit a 2.8. I have a stroked 3.1, and after 30 years the OG injectors are toast. I am looking for a direct fit 17lb or 19lb injector. I have searched thread after thread, but no definitive answer. So, whatcha gotz?

Do you know what your HP rating is? 19# may be too much unless you're bumping 200 HP. Find an injector size calculator, use 43.5 psi (stock Fiero pressure) or your modified pressure as your fuel pressure input and 85 as your duty cycle. Plug in your HP and number of cylinders (6) and you will get the required flow rate. Round it up to the next whole number.

I am currently running stock OG injectors on a 3.1 stroker. Doing a head gasket, and while I was in there...

I was able to get Tony some good used injectors. I bought them new, and used them for 3-4 years on a bored & stroked 2.8 V6. That engine was replaced with a 3.4 V6 (which is using 19 lb injectors). So I don't need these ones anymore.

I bought them about 10 years ago, at the local auto parts store. I asked for injectors for a Chevy Lumina with a 3.1 V6, and they handed me a set of injectors. I think they're rated at 16 lb/hr, but am not sure.

Thank you. That would sound about right. Good info for anyone modifying their 2.8.

I am using Ford injectors (19lbs.) on a turbo 3.4 push rod engine setup. They ran very rich and the fuel tables had to be adjusted.

Yeah, 19 lb injectors for a 2.8 would be serious overkill, unless it's a race engine or something like that.

19# are even overkill for a stock 3.4. Been there with the Mustang injectors.

I've been using the Accel injectors from Summit since 2009. Still working reliably.
