Ok, so I'm not new to Fiero so i know they idle high anyways, but a 3800 sc idling at 1400 normal?
Not sure if its too high for this swap but the throttle is as close as it can be to being closed without it shuttering and stalling out due to lack of air.
I will mention that when I throw the clutch pedal in the RPMs kinda just bounce off 1100 a few times...it sounds like something normal, but I'm just making sure because the car doesnt like to run smoothly under 1000.

The Idle should be under 1K rpm.

Put a scanner on it and see what the computer is showing as the IDLE. The tach just could be off.

Mine idles at about 800 but reads 1000 on the tach. I second the other post, tach could be off as they are known to get worse over time.
