Hey guys,

Wondering what material we should be using to repair cracks, chips...ect on the Fiero body panels? Should we be using fiberglass? Poly Carbon? something else? Which one is stronger/lasts longer. Thanks!

I forget what its called but it depends on if it is a fiberglass panel, the door flex panels or the rubber bumpers, someone will come on with the best for each. I can't remember.

There are repair products made specifically for each material.....SMC, RIM, and TPO. Ask at a body shop supply store.

For SMC body parts (ie. Hood, fenders, etc.) I have used Evercoat PlastikWorks, SMC Fiberglass Resin with good success.

I used this... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekORZqhY36s and followed up with a bit of Evercoat's Polyflex. I didnt buy a special tool, I just used a flat blade tip on my soldering gun. Worked great, filled my antenna hole and made a few other repairs to the bumpers. Not all the panels are compatible with this urethane.
