I will try the ECU swap in a couple of days and report back, if not I will get a new PROM flash from one of you guys.

I put the "new" prom back in it's ECU and installed that 2nd ECU in the car today. Immediately I could feel a difference. The car idled higher, better and really smooth. I took it out for a test drive, no codes, no hesitation, no struggle. It sounds much better and it feels like a totally different car. It would initially struggle to get started in first gear and need a lot of effort to get going, now it feels like it has much more power then it ever did during my ownership.

So far the problem seems resolved and it would of been the ECU unit itself that was the cause of my problems, not the Prom.

Fingers crossed that the issue is gone for good
