Looking at installing an aftermarket gauge cluster and adding a 3 position switch. OFF-ON1-ON2 or something like that. I wouldn't need the dash light switch either. I was wondering if anyone had any quick diagrams to help save some time for doing this or if there is any potential problems with doing this and keeping the everything in working order.

I'm thinking that it may be hard to do. You need something that will handle the amps.....and it has some odd functionality that allows you to turn on the headlights, activate the headlight doors, and separately turn on the parking lights, effectively turning the headlights and doors off.

Hello, What year Fiero, there are some differences. Below is the wiring for the headlamps, depending on your electrical skills it should be doable. The headlight relays and isolation relay in the circuit handle the heavy amps the switches cant take. You might have to go to higher amp relays, but I don't think so, IMO.
Good luck with the project and keep us posted on your finding & results.

Yup... OE HL setup pushes Amp load to HL Switch and Dimmer Switch on the steering column.
Plus HL Switch contains Breaker for HL bulbs.

You likely need to use relays and a new breaker for HL Bulb Power. Same type as PW and AC breakers.
