Is the 1993–1995 L32 ("S-code") the best 3.4L for using the 2.8L induction parts on top?
Are they only found in the Camaro and Firebird?

They are only available in the F-body cars, yes.

The later Gen III 3400 can also be used, and comes in FWD vehicles: http://www.fierosound.com/34engine/3400details.htm

Can the 2.8L induction parts be installed on the FWD Gen III 3400?

Not without swapping the heads and all the guts. You're essentially building an entire engine from the bare block, up. Well, except for the crank.
In terms of "bang for the buck", it's not worth the trouble, IMHO.

If I were doing it, I'd just swap in a 3500 or 3900 (actually planning this) and using the ECM that comes with that engine. (They're both "sort of" related to the 2.8 and 3.4.)
It's a lot more involved (talking custom harness and PCM programming) but the 3500 makes 220 HP, right out of the box. The 3900, even more.

If you want something that "bolts in" with minimal drama, the 3.4 Camarobird engine is your best choice.

The L32 engine is the front mounted 3.4L P/R V6 engine used in the 93-95 Camaro/Firebird and the 3800SC series three engine that was an option in the 04-07 Grand Prix is also described this way.
If you want an easy bolt in engine replacement, few more horsepower and extra torque the 3.4 will give it. With only a very few minor mods its the easiest engine swap and you will notice a difference in performance. It does use all of the 2.8L induction parts and the complete distributor ignition system. . I prefer this swap with the deeper 3.4L oil pan but it will only fit if you use the 87-88 timing cover. The 85-86 swap must use the 2.8L oil pan as the front covers on those only fit the 2.8L pan.
The 3.4L P/R is a good first engine swap . Swaps of other engines usually require extensive wiring harness construction.

Is your goal to replace a at best 27 year old engine with an at best 20 year old engine? This is why I always rebuild the replacement motor...

Even rebuilding a 3400 block vs a 3.4 block, the 3400 block will cost a couple of hundred dollars more in valve train parts, however it is the "best" 3.4L block because it comes with a roller cam and better oil pan than the RWD oil pan of the 3.4 ...which is still probably an upgrade over the 2.8 oil pan. The stock roller cam rarely needs replacing on the rebuild. It is of higher lift than the Fiero/Firebird/Camaro stock cam. So between the roller cam design and higher lift cam, that engine makes more power out of the box.

With either engine, you can swap in 3.4DOHC pistons for a compression ratio bump to >9.8:1 or stick with a 9.0:1 ratio of the F-body pistons.

Cheapest & simplest = F-body 3.4L engine
Best & most power = 3400 engine

It's also probably easier to find a 3400 than a 3.4 ...
