Hey everyone, stupid question.

I am about to install a fel-pro permadry VC gasket. I have a VC with dimples and the bolt-whole flanges, so I'm supposed to use the thicker washers supplied. But... Where do they go? Are they replacements for the old washers that go between the underside of the VC and the gasket?

This image isn't helping.

Thanks!

Do one of the washers fit into the holes of the gasket (to stop you from crushing the gasket at the bolts}? Other wise, the triangle pieces goes on top of the VC and the other washer on top of that, it looks like.

I can't imagine there would be any washer between the gasket and one of the mounting services, that would cause a leak.

Hi,

Yeah, that's what I would think too, but again, there were very small washers underneath and between the gasket before hand. And this rubber gasket is much thicker than the cork one.

Yeah the triangle pressure plates go on top of the VC. I just wish this manual was a lot more clearer on this stuff for us shade-tree guys.

You use the skinny washers on the dimpled flange. Yes, they go IN the holes
