Hi I have an 88 pontiac gt v6 manual . It is converted into a ferrari testarossa.
My question is since the car was extended to fit the right dimensions of the testarossa; how do you extend the shift and select cables?
Because right now the cables are stiff and it is real tough to put in gear.

I just ordered new/used cables so when they arrive how should I extend it?what should I use to make it easier to shift?

If you can give me advice respond asap please!

Also check your engine to body ground strap, if it is broke or not there, it will ground through the shift cables and then they get hot and expand and make it hard to shift.
