As the title insinuates, how do I undo these infuriating things?!

Edit: never mind. First one broke. Second was so dry-rotted it just crumbled away.

Just so you know for next time... use a dremel and grind the head of the rivet off.

you can also just drill the rivets out with a drill bit, as well as if you have clips that just are to far gone to reuse again hardware stores sell strapping with predrilled holes in them by the roll for hanging water pipes in homes. just cut the inch or so you need to make a new clip wrap it around the line in the place you need them. dealers also still sell these clips by the package while more expensive they are all just about the same over the last few decades and some even have a rubber type wrap, inside that prevents damage of the steel line from chaffing.

I use these types of clamps all over my car , there great for securing a lot of things, ie. Brake Lines, Wire Harnesses and Vacuum lines .
Their used on aircraft and are called (ADEL-CLAMPS) very common items, and not that expensive if you shop the internet.
They come in all sizes from 1/8" to well over 3" in diam. and are general made in Alum or stainless steel...
sizes are marked with a dash number at the end of their part number in 16ths of an inch. DG-2 = (1/8" clamp), a DG-4 = (1/4" clamp)

It's not always that easy. Often the rivets will just spin. I find that grinding the head of the rivet off works first time every time... and it takes about ten seconds.
