Can't find thye answer to this searching so thought I'd post. The beretta wheels are 16 x 7 with a 42mm offset. I don't know how to calculae it, lol...

They will most likely fit, but will look a bit odd. I have 235/40s on 17x8 wheels on front and 245/40 on 17x8" wheels out back on my 87GT (235mm section width, sidewall is 40% of the 235mm, rear is 245mm wide, 40% of that is the sidewall).

Those tires will be a bit too wide for those narrow wheels, and the sidewall will be rather tall. The car will feel spongy because of the tall sidewall. Ride will be nice, though.

I think you should be looking into a 215/50ish tire for those wheels. The rear wheels on the 86+ GTs were 7" wide and came with a 215/60 tire.

I hear you. Tire size calculators tell me I could run a 215/55/16 or 225/55/16 and keep it close to stock diameter overall. Don't wanna go 225/50/16 because they would be slightly smaller than stock diameter on rear. A 215/50/16 is quite a bit smaller than stock diameter...
