Looking at an easy (cheap) spring upgrade for iron head engines. Looks like the aluminum head beehive type springs installed on an iron head would work out nice. If installed with the stock install height for an iron head they would allow for a .440 lift with .060 over bind height. Seat pressure would be about 95 pounds with stock springs at 87 pounds and about 250 pounds open with stock being 195 pounds. To be worked out would be if the stock retainer would fit the top of the spring (ID is about .655) and the OD of the base is about 1.350. If anyone is interested in trying a set I have them free, just let us know how the fit, look and run. Larry
