Will all Fiero fuel tanks interchange? I have an '84 that needs a tank and there's an '86 tank at a local yard I could p/u if it will fit.

I thought I had found my answer but I don't think so. So the 4 cylinder cars had the fuel line routed to the driver's side? And what about the sending unit, will the '84 sending unit work in an '86 tank? If not is it just the mounting ring that is different or is the wiring different too?

The tank for the years 84, 85, and 86 is the same. The fuel pump is different for 4 or 6 cylinder cars. I am not sure about the rest of the sender hardware, but your 84 pump assembly will fit in an 86 tank.
