Yes, sometimes while working on one small thing you happen to spot something else that needs repair or you decide that since I'm here I'll do this too. I had my inner door panel off to replace door locks I decided I would replace my dew wipes too, I bought them two months ago so why not? Well, the inner felt guides sort of got lost back into the door cavity while they were loose and I couldn't fish them out for nothing. I had to remove the window and decided it would be easier to remove the outer door panel so I removed it and discovered the door handle was about to fail, now I need to find another one of those! I also noticed that the hinge pins are shot along with the spring gizmo needing replaced, the roller pin is totally destroyed! Now the door is off the car in many pieces and I have to order a pile of parts. It looks like this month isn't going to be a drive the Fiero month!

Yup!

I ended up doing a full-restoration on my Fiero... and it all started with me just changing my windshield wipers. I didn't like how everything else looked when matched up with the new wipers.

I tore everything apart, painted the frame. Everything in there is new or rebuilt / sanded / painted. But you'll notice... no windshield wipers. Go figure... (I still have to paint the body)

I'm looking at drilling out these rivets and installing 6mm nutserts too, it would be nice to be able to access stuff behind them. I might also cut out the sheet metal behind the felt guides like they should have done in the first place!

I know the situation all to well. Start this and started that only to do more but in the long run replacing stuff that need it is my objective. I hoped I would be driving it this spring but I am not sure now.

I was looking at my door panel and it looks like the backside where the Christmas tree brackets are suppose to be are long gone. I either have to find another panel or fabricate the missing brackets. Nothings ever easy!

First post! Hope I don't mess this up. My day started by just looking at my car, then i noticed there was no clips holding my brake pad in. So i pulled the caliper to find the rear brake pad and backing also separated from the clip. I guess that's what happens when you get the cheapos.
