Is there a clutch inspection plate on a stock 1988 GT V6 with a 5 speed trans? If so, where is it located? Thanks for your input.

You can only see the back side of the flywheel if you remove the dust shield between the engine and the lower bell housing, but you can't see the clutch disk. You would need to separate the transmission from the engine to see the disk.

That's a pet peeve of mine. Like it would cost a zillion bucks to add a hole for a little tin cover when they cast bell housings? But then the auto makers don't care about servicing issues. Besides, if takes longer they can charge more.
