Hi and hope the holidays are treating you well.

I just want to know whereabouts you installed the box - I am thinking of behind the dashboard near to the power door relays on the passenger side but I am concerned that with the box being inside the car would it still be able to receive the signal from the key fob when any of the buttons are pressed ?

all opinions welcomed

I have mine up under the dash, on the passenger side. Right by the factory door lock relays

Mine is under the dash by the steering column, I've never had any problems unlocking the doors from up to about 25 feet away.

To be honest, I didn't plan very well when I did mine. It ended up being tucked into the dash right in front of the heater core box. I haven't had any issues with it but I'd rather have put it in a more convenient place.

There is a spot on the passenger side of the center tunnel where the amp lives if the car came equipped with the performance sound system. If you don't have performance sound, there is an empty spot that is the perfect size for a RKE module. Just pull back the carpet and the plastic inner piece, there is a hump molded into the plastic piece. That's where I put mine.

It works wherever you put it in the car. Find a convenient spot that allows you to secure it properly. Under the dash, close to the fuse box is commonly used as the best spot.

Right under the steering column, zip tied actually. Had no issues with it there and it was convenient to install
