I hear a lot about possible cracked EGR Tubes. Are the cracks typically on or near one of the ends of the tube?

Has anyone done a successful crack repair with J-B Weld on one of these tubes?

They usually crack right at the connection under the upper intake.

Once you put one in, you will understand why doing it only once is a good idea.

The original accordion style tube is repairable, but seems to crack in a new spot after a while. There seems to be metal fatigue on the old part, so many are replaced.
