Hi guys let me introduce myself I am Tyler. I'm from Massachusetts (no, I'm not one of the yanks, not a tree hugger and im not here to take your rights and I'm not here to tell you to hybridize your fiero and I'm not here to try to take away your carb cleaner!!!). I have acquired a 19987 Fiero with a 2.5L duke. It has the throttle body injected and theres just one problem.... y'all know that cover the goes over the fuel pressure regulator? Yeah well it has a little hole in it about 1cm across. My friends told me to JB weld it but I think that's stupid, I cant see losing my fiero in a fire over some 2$ jb weld. Plus, this thing has 63k miles, I'm gonna do this right. I would like to ask, does anybody have, or know where I could find one of these covers? Everyone wants like over 100$ for a throttle body! I started her up despite the small gas leak and what do you know the engine lit up on fire. I sacrificed my life for my fiero and blew out the blaze with my mouth in fear for 1/2 tank of gas blowing up in my face... in the end the only thing that was damaged was the pigtail harness for my fuel injection, the plastic tubing around the rest of the harness saved it!.. I have a new harness and a TBI rebuild kit arriving this morning.

The hole looks like a drill hole. I believe 99% that someone tried to kill the previous owner of the car. Who wants to help get a beautiful white fiero with 63k restored!? Already put redline MT in her, changed the oil, plugs, air filter, just this and it will run. I will pay MONEY for this stupid little cover!!!!!

If I had it, I'd give it to you.

I recommend your best option is to go to the Fiero Factory. I don't know what the price will be, but they always have good used parts. It's owned by a guy named Jeremy. You can get all the contact information from http://www.TheFieroFactory.com

They have hundreds of Fieros there.

It's awesome to know that the Fiero has been reanimated in the 200th century

Lol I gotta say I like your style FrozenPup.

I have TONS of parts here. I have parts left from a 86 partout and am still parting a 85.

Honestly I am stumped at the part you are referring to. IDK...My GF has a 87 2.5L that I rescued. Only has 25K on the odometer, sat for 18 years. Matter of fact it came from Lynn Mass. Check it out!

Anyway long story short if you had a pic of the part or someone else did and I have it, I will GIVE you the part for cost of shipping! Please don't blow yourself up!!

Do Not seal the cover hole!

Hole vents air. Hole slows fuel mean regulator is bad.

Get a rebuild kit that has all gaskets, etc. Check before you buy. Should have regulator part but I haven't bought one in years.
You can get just Regulator but likely need other seals etc.

Hey all actually the prev poster was right on the hole is suppossed to b there itsnfor air ventilation.. maybe I should drill my dads weld now so the diaphragm can move back and forth lol.. I put a tbi rebuild in and it leaks no longer but that hole scares me.... it should be vented to an external line. It didnt take more than 10 seconds of cranking to backfire and light my engine on fire if it ever fails again god knows if ill notice. idles like complete shite on 1/2 six year old gas and 1/2 premium. Misfires in the top range too but its too linear and predictable to be a gas problem sounds to me like a cyl is missing must be the plug wires that are rodent chewed. Dam toothy sons of witches lolol.. I am gonna post pics soon maybe in the build section for yall to show progress.. or other appropriate forum.. she is a really cool car.

One small hole is air vent on all 220 300 and 700 TBI units. (220 is 2bbl used on V8) That just equalize air pressure when weather/altitude changes.

Big hole that sealed by GM rarely needs mess with. If you do then you needs gas pressure gauge. Pressure spec is 9-13PSI.
