I did a search but couldn't find a direct answer. What clutch would be recommended for a 3800 n/a with a getrag trans?
Thanks
Joe

I'm interested in this as well. Will my spec stage two with 7000 miles be good enough? I'd think it would be.

I have had really good luck with the HD fiero store clutch kit. It uses OEM parts, holds well, and is easy to modulate. Joe Sokol (Fieroking) also uses them behind his 4.9 swaps with good luck.

I swear it works better than the factory clutch. If you click the last page of my build thread, you can see pics of mine.

I would say yes, but i'm no expert. I have a stage 3 behind my 3800sc, i went with stage 3 only because it was cheaper than stage 2.

I've got the Spec Stage 3+. It was a bit pricey, but one great clutch.

How harsh are the spec stage 3's? I was thinking stage 1 because it's a stock 3800 n/a and I want it to be smooth . Any other thoughts?

the trick is the "+" which is a kevlar face on the flywheel. It softens the engagement on what otherwise could be a harsh clutch, plus it is very heat resistant.

I have the Spec II + on my 4.9, and it is 417 ft lbs rated which is plenty for the 3800 na

Arn

It is authoritative but smooth
