Im wondering what this hose is for on my formula and what I am supposed to do with it for my 3800 swap? Sorry for the poor picture I wasn't actually photographing the hose when I took it. It comes out of the firewall directly below the throttle cable.

If it is attached to a tube (about 3/8"drive dia) that runs along the top of the fuel tank tunnel, it is the vacuum line for the brake booster.

olejoedad hit the nail on the head. You will need it for your swap. you will have to hook it to a vacuum source.

Glad you asked the question...I'd been wondering that myself for my 4.9 install. I just haven't got to that part yet....hopefully soon...
