Any thoughts on why my seat belt warning light stays on when I buckle my seat belt? Thanks.

Sometimes the seat belt switch in the drivers seat belt can fail (rust, corrosion, etc). Easiest thing to do is remove the seat belt latch from the center tunnel and clean it, or replace it.

Light on but no chime?
Both are control by
See my Cave, Chime Unit

If you worked on dash... circuit "board" maybe the problem.

Chime sound on then seat belt switch is closed. Switch is on D side retract part.
Light doesn't care... always on for few seconds.

The light stays on but there is no chime to go along with it. I went in the cave and read up on the chime box. At this point i guess the switch is bad? The warning light stays on, and no chime point to this. The blue dingy thingy works normally for all of the functions but the E brake. The chime and light work most of the time when I pull up on the lever, but both turn odd most of the when when I push the lever down down to get out of the car, and then when go to drive off won't turn back on to warn me the brake is on. Most of the time the warning system will reactivate when I pull the lever up to release the brake, but not always. I've tried three used switches and a new one from The Fiero Store but all do the same thing. I even changed the lever assembly out for another and got the same results. I recall there being some adjustment on the switch which I played with but nothing worked. Any chance these to are related as they both share the chime box?

I meant dash circuit.

Remove chime unit... belt Light on? yes then look at dash. dash plugs on back likes to short etc when "board" looses the copper traces.

no adjust possible on chime unit.

Short out P brake lever switch. brake light/chime on then adjust the switch.
