I was installing new dash bulbs yesterday, and I think something happened to the headlamp circuit. I put everything back together, and last evening, I put the headlights on to see what the new bulbs looked like, the headlights popped up and powered on, the parking lamps were off, the instrument cluster was off, the chime was off. If I turned the switch off, and then depressed it lightly, the parking lights, chime, and instrument lights would come on. In any position on the switch, the headlights would not return back down. The car has 60,000 miles, the original headlights, and from what I know all stock components. I thought that the switch was bad, so I swapped it out and that wasn't the case. What could the problem be. (PS. I also installed a new stereo.)

check your tail light fuse in the dash fuse block - may have blown if radio not wired right or shorted (fuse supplies power for radio night illumination also)

Yup... If blown then find why.

Fuse blown. The orange illum wire was partially exposed and shorting on the cage of the new stereo. I cut and taped it. The rest of the woting harness was soldered and heatshrinked.
