What would be a ball-park figure in converting an '87 GT to an open roadster?
Thanks,

Probably more that you want to spend. Special attention needed to reinforce the underside of the car. You don't just chop off the top of a Fiero to make a roadster. Then you'll need some way to have "seat belts" or a harness installed as the "B" pillar is gone where the seat belts retract. Then a roadster is only a fair weather car and is there any fair weather in Buffalo? So you will need to create some sort of way to cover the interior in case of rain or snow.

Convertible

You could search the forums to get some ideas and how to build a subframe.

If you can do the work yourself, you can save a lot of money. Otherwise, be prepared to pay thousands to have someone do it, if they will even attempt it. The problem is that they will be liable for the safety of the passengers, as they are modifying the vehicle, structurally.

I owned a convertible, and it is more than just cutting the top off... it was a $6K option at a dealership (Holland Pontiac Fieros)
