Got a clutch arm form the Fiero Store for my 86 GT 4 spd. looks like the right part, right part number and description on paper work, but it seems like it just won't fit right, thoughts?

I have read a thread on here that fixed a problem with that part. You need to file off a groove or something....apparently it does not fit on the splines just right...

It's gonna take a while to dig up that thread.

I think the part from the fiero store is flawed, you have to file a tooth off it in order for it to fit right. They should include instructions when you buy it. Larry

ok so I hadn't gotten a good look at it (garage lighting needs updated) as to why it didn't fit right. The new arm did not have a tooth or groove. when tightening down the bolt and nut on to the clutch shaft it seemed alright but when pushing in on the clutch it was feeling loose. Took the clutch arm back off and as I was loosening it again it didn't seem right, it seemed looser than it should. So I got looking at it and felt the clutch shaft and found the indent, problem it there was nothing grabbing the indent on the shaft so the new clutch arm was slipping. drilled out the bolt hole on the clutch arm by 1/8th of an inch and used a slightly larger bolt. problem solved. Thanks for the input and help. Hopefully if someone else has this problem they can find this thread.
