Fellas,

My driver door plunger, that activates the Door Ajar light on the dash, it will not blink off when I shut the driver door? Do I simply replace that plunger? If so, who sells them?

Cordially,
kevin

What year is you car? The ajar indicator will illuminate with either door, hood, or trunk lid open. Everything needs to be shut to make the light go off. If the light is on with everything closed, you will need to unplug the switches, one at a time, until the light goes out to figure out which one is bad.

I had that problem. the ajar light would randomly blink when it wanted to. I fixed it by removing the bulb from the instrument panel.

Mine stayed on on my 87 GT as well.
It was the front hood. Switch was to short to reach the hood.
I was too lazy to adjust it, so I put a low side R12 A/C fitting cap on it.
Been that way over 2 years now.
Problem solved

I second checking the front hood switch. Mine was also too short to activate it(not sure why). But I added a quarter size piece of rubber to the hood to push it down more and it works just fine now.
