Recently I put on a ZZP 3.5 pulley. I purchased their Belt (653 - GTP/GS/SS supercharged with 3.1 - 3.5" pulley (65 7/8") ) When putting it on I found it almost impossible to get the belt on. My solution was to put a smaller idler pulley on one of the idlers. I then was able to get the belt on. just barley but on. My question is. should this effect the HP, Boost....? I get no KR at all. I run 93oct all the time anyway.

Would the smaller idler act like there was a smaller pulley (3.4)??

658 is the belt you want, 1/2 inch different is a lot for a belt.

I don't understand the question you are asking at all, idlers have nothing to do with the ratio between the crank and sc pulley... Only difference would be a smaller idler might affect the belt wrap and cause slipping.

There is no slippage from the smaller pulley. Being the pulley is smaller, wouldn't that in-turn allow the belt to spin faster?

lol no. It's not like having a smaller pulley. Just make sure you have plenty of wrap and you'll be fine.

Yea, the more I thought of it, the more I realized only a smaller SC Pulley or smaller Crank pulley would speed things up. The belt is just along for the ride.

Yes plenty of wrap on the smaller idler pulley

A smaller crank pulley would slow it down you would need a larger crank pulley to spin the SC faster.

The "reccomended" belt sizes are correct.. they are just VERY tight. Get the elbow grease out and get ready to smash the belt on there when you get the tensioner at full lock.
