1986 2m4 5 speed
Do anyone have the schematic for the headlight system on a 1986? It looks like to me that they have it all disconnected and a switch to make the headlights come up but not go down put in the center console.

Here is the wiring schematic:



It's a rather complicated circuit so here is how the current flows to the pod motors when the lights are turned on:



And here is how the current flows to the pod motors when turned off:



There's a good chance the previous owner found out his Isolation Relay was fried and jury-rigged the wiring in your car because the isolation relays aren't available anymore. If that's what you find when you go to reconnect everything, then there is a simple fix to bypass the isolation relay but retain all the operating features by jumping the wires like this:
