The transmission shifts into rev nuet and drive but has no power it does not speed up when I accelerate. When I first start it after it has been sitting and shift in for or rev it will sit there and finally start to move. I know my inputs and outputs from the computer are ok. I suspect the internal pump. Is there something I am overlooking? The engine runs just fine starts right up and accelerates when I give it gas.

Do you have the vacuum line on the vacuum modulator (controls line pressure) hooked up?

Make sure you have 12 volts to the trans harness.

Alllready checked wiring several times. Going to add some more fluid even though it says its full at this point aint gonna hurt. Going to go to local caddillac dealer see if I can buy some time with one of their transmission techs.

The first thing you need to do is scan the PCM and make sure the PCM is commanding all gears at the proper time AND that there are no codes setting that will cause the transmission to go into limp mode.

If the transmission goes into limp mode, you may only have 3rd gear operation (along with reverse, neutral, and park - of course).

Simply adding more fluid if it is already full is not going to fix anything. While overfilling will probably not hurt anything, it can cause the axle seals to leak.
