I don't know if you read my thread but my symptoms started after the shop was fixing my A/C. So I guess that is worth checking. But I don't see any vacuum to my A/C. It's only a compressor that's running from the water pump belt and the rest is electric - no vacuum whatsoever. Maybe it's different on the 1987? Mine is a 1985.
Also I disconnected all the electric cables from the compressor and the belt itself and it didn't help.
Can you specify where have you found the vacuum leak?

The cruise control is hooked up to the vacuum system. You need to find the line that goes from the engine to the cruise control, disconnect it and cap it. See if your idle improves.

We'll, we actually found the problem, it was a bad fuel injector lol the most obvious thing was staring us right in the face, it works great now, I feel so stupid haha
What are the prices of those? Didn't you say in the first post that you replaced the injector? Is there a way to check the injector or did you just straight replaced it?
