It's finally time to paint my car and I was hoping to get some opinions on what paint color I should use. I have narrowed down the overall scheme of the car but there are so many choices for base color that I'm indecisive. Comments like.... "don't ever paint your car lime green because..." and "dude that color is so ugly" are welcome because everyone has their own tastes and I'm curious to see if the color I end up picking will cause people to wreck on my daily commute.
I'm in the process of sanding a "yellow" paint off the car that I had a friend put on when we primered it. The yellow was what we had laying around so forgive the eye sore. I've spent all my time and energy(money) up to this point on the engine.
Here is the car as it sat before I began sanding it.
And then then after the magic of photoshop here are the colors/scheme that I was planning on in no particular order.
If there's a color that you guys think I should consider that I don't have, let me know and I'll mock it up.
Think out of the box. Every other driveway has a silver, yellow or orange car. Theres bronze, lots of diff greens and blues. Black is a PITA to keep nice. White is boring. Its your car to live with though. Show some imagination.
Can I ask why you haven't done the GT treatment to the side of the car? It leaves it looking a little unbalanced, high centered, I am not sure the banner helps either...

I would paint the rocker panels black on all the cars.
I woudl raise the stripe about an inch and tilt it to match the angle of the beltline moulding.
Maybe see if your photoshop guy can morph the stripe into flames just below the door handle and rearward.
Can't decide on a color scheme.
Maybe black out the sunroof panel and the A-pillars on each of them. I don't think I like the stripes going over the roof. I think I would make the wing body color if I was going to use the stripes over it.

Now if somebody can figure out a way to change the color (of the car, not a picture) at the flick of a switch to any of the examples shown above, you'd really have something!
Seriously, I've my car painting skills were half as good as my photoshop skills I'd be happy.
I think I'm starting to like the blue, I've had a yellow-ish car for a while now and the novelty is starting to wear off. I'll try mocking up some of the suggestions and see how it looks.
The car was originally a formula, but I wasn't a big fan of the notchback. I switched it over to a fastback but the guy I bought the pieces from didn't have rockers or lower door trim. After having it like this for a while I kind of like it. I was never a big fan of the GT door trims.
Isn't it strange that after a bombing, everyone blames the bomber, his upbringing, his environment, his culture, his mental state but … after a shooting, the problem is the gun?

I really like the stripe!! That's cool! Maybe add some matching black flames trailing from "Supercharged".
As for the A-pillars, don't do them by themselves. Black out the A-pillars and the roof back to the end of the drip rail where the body seam is on the roof.

Here's the roof painted black. It just seems weird to me. Sorry to all the flamers out there but I'm not a big fan of flames, so probably won't end up doing that. I probably will never end up selling either, it's one of those things where I'd want too much for it and then get offended by what someone offered and then would go pout for a few days and do something radical like paint it purple with a picture of psy on the side. (and flames) So even if the consensus is that it is ugly, that's okay cause all that matters is that you like the color of your own car.
On the 2014 Silverado's there is a new color called Blue Topaz Metallic. It would look great on a Fiero. You really need to see this color in person to see how nice it is.
Any dark colored car is hot inside in the summer, I like the silver. My only suggestion is to use a stock color in case you ever need a touch up and trying to match a custom color.
